Where bought? Undoubtedly off the band at one of their numerous UK shows this century.
Cut, from Bologna, used to hit up our towns every year, sometimes twice a year, nearly every year in the 21st century. They're absolute lifers in the punk world, giving and loving and they don't care if there's 20 or 2000 people to play in front of - they'll give you the same high-energy rock and roll show no matter what.
Two guitars (one quite low-tuned) and drums and completely unafraid of groove. Their sound veers a little closer, at times, to blues-punk than I might ordinarily want to hear, though I prefer them to John Spencer Blues Explosion so make of that what you will. They're so domineering and noisy and in-your-face live that you can become blind to it but on record it is there.
Listening to them, for me, is the same as listening to The Hives: tight, talented, energetic, fun, but not good at length. There are some great bursts of energy here like 'The Light' and the title track. Generally speaking though, this is not the kind of record I'm going to throw on lots. I love Cut and I want only the best for them - Ferruccio is one of the warmest and best people you could hope to meet.
Solid enough but might have to rehouse this at some point.
